This session will explore what it means to be human in light of technological advancements that are increasingly capable of what has often been considered to be exclusively human traits. AI, machine learning, drones and big data; and the legal and ethical ramifications of these changes as journey towards 2050.

+ Our Future Cities: Panel Discussion

By 2040, over 70% of people will live in urban areas. To support this growth our cities will need the food, energy and infrastructure systems of the future to sustain the people who live in them. How do we ensure thriving, healthy and enjoyable environments for our cities? How will we feed the cities of tomorrow, how will we power them, how will we ensure they are accessible and equitable for everyone in the face of emerging challenges such as climate change? Our panel of experts will discuss their take on our future cities.

Workshop Introduction

The session will be hosted with Global Consulting Group, a pro-bono consulting organisation, who will brief attendees on how to structure their ideas and thinking. Our attendees will then set out to find solutions to real issues faced by our not-for-profit partners in small, multi-disciplinary teams under the guidance of experienced mentors.
